With new ‘data breaches’ seemingly a daily news story, we are delighted to announce that we have again been awarded our Cyber Essentials Certificate by our IT Support Advisors, LMS.
Cyber Essentials is a United Kingdom certification scheme designed to show businesses such as ours have a suitable level of protection in cyber security through annual assessments and security checks.
Backed by the UK government and overseen by the National Cyber Security Centre. It encourages businesses to adopt good practice in information security. Cyber Essentials also includes an assurance framework and a simple set of security controls to protect information from threats coming from the internet.
Richard Moores, owner of the business says ‘At Sims Williams we take Cyber Security extremely seriously, particularly as we hold a tremendous amount of necessary personal information for buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants’.
He goes on to say, ‘with the support and guidance of LMS, who have been advising us on IT Security since 2010, we continue to monitor and improve all aspects of our Cyber Security which is a particularly hot topic just now’.
It’s just one of the ways Sims Williams are improving their service, and are again leading the way in an ever-changing environment.
