Mum of two, Vikki Hibbert had no idea how much help she would get from independent estate agents Sims Williams when selling her flat to buy a new family home – and the answer was a real eye-opener.
“It wasn’t until we reached the exchange of contracts that we fully appreciated the role of our estate agent,” says Vikki.
“That’s our job,” says Sims Williams estate agent
Having never used an estate agent before, the thought of keeping everyone in the chain up-to-date was daunting for Vikki. That’s when Lin Peter from Sims Williams said, “Leave it all to me – that’s our job.”
Why we chose Sims Williams
Vikki, her husband James and their two young children were selling their three-bedroom flat in Eastergate to move to a brand-new Bellway home in Westhampnett, near Chichester.
They chose independent local estate agent Sims Williams based on recommendations from friends and family and the company’s strong presence in their area.
“When Sara and Louise from Sims Williams’ Walberton office walked through the door of our family home we just knew that they would be the ones to sell it. They were complimentary but realistic, with helpful, honest advice. Within two months, we were under offer and able to reserve our new home,” says Vikki.
They found us the right buyers – and quickly
Vikki and James had initially instructed Sims Williams and another estate agent to sell their home and Vikki says it was Sims Williams who brought quality prospective buyers. Vikki says, “They knew our circumstances and got us the best result with the right buyers, right when we needed it, with one of the smallest chains possible.”
A good estate agent manages the property chain
Having recently gone back to work after the birth of her second child, Vikki was concerned about the time it would take to keep everyone in the chain up to speed.
This was when the team at Sims Williams really impressed Vikki and James.
Lin from their Walberton office took full responsibility for processing the sale – chasing and updating solicitors, buyers and Bellway Homes.
That’s when Vikki realised the role of a good estate agent is about so much more than bringing potential buyers to your home.
Vikki says, “With two young children, jobs and family life to hold down, this service was exceptional and priceless. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them.
“Sims Williams made us feel we counted and we can’t thank them enough for enabling our family to move into our perfect home,” says Vikki.
